What Inspires Me?

It's All About Saturday Morning

It always puts a smile on my face when someone tells me they like a shot I did asks how I accomplished a certain look or technique. To me, the biggest and best compliment is to know I might inspire someone else in the same way Saturday morning cartoons or Legend Of Zelda inspired me.

If you like, contact me to schedule face time to view additional or yet-to-be-released work.

Why Did I Choose Computer Animation?

I'm Really A Big Kid At Heart

Like most kids I loved animation and couldn't wait for Saturday morning cartoons. As I got older I never grew past this excitement, and after watching "Final Fantasy" and "The Lord of the Rings" I knew Computer Animation was where I wanted to be. Since then I have devoted myself to the study of animation. Ringling School of Art and Design trained me to be the best I can and afforded the opportunity to learn from among the best in the industry. Since then I have been lucky to continually work along side some brilliant artists and industry giants.

One

I started in Film

I started in film industry where I learned realistic and stylized lighting techniques.
I've worked on titles such as Sony Pictures Imageworks Open Season 2 and The Very First Noel as well as a direct-to-DVD series
for children.

Two

Then I worked in Gaming

I worked for gaming studios such as Electronic Arts Tiburon and Ignition Entertainment bringing my knowledge of lighting for film to a new generation of titles being developed for next-gen consoles.

While my primary focus is lighting and compositing, I have also been an Environment Artist, a Texture Artist, and worked on look dev for EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10.

Three

Now, Back To Film

Gaming inspired me to become a Lighter, but film soon beckoned again.
I returned to film where I have worked on titles such as Sony Pictures Imageworks Open Season 3, Judy Moody from the producers of Precious, the Annie nominated Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas, and most recently Warner Brother's Looney Tunes series of short films, of which I Tawt I Taw A Puddy Tat has been nominated for an Annie and was short-listed for an Academy Award.

There's More. A Lot More.

Open Season 3

Deliver a higher-quality of lighting and on a tighter schedule than Open Season two? No problem.

I even managed to deliver more client-approved shots than any other artist on the team.

Film

Daffy's Rhapsody

The second of three short films from Warner Brothers on which I was a
Sr. Lighting and Compositing Artist.

Film

Judy Moody and The Not Bummer Summer

In this live-action film animation was the tool of choice when bringing to life the fantasy adventures of Judy.

Gaming

Reich

At Ignition Entertainment I was the Lighting Supervisor on a title with one of the most extreme implementations of the XBox 360 physics engine I have seen to date.

Unfortunately, the studio closed in 2010 and the project has been shelved. :-(

Gaming

Tiger Woods 2010

Tiger was my first AAA title. From textures, to score boards, to the inclusion of wild life, I was integral to bringing near photographic turf and environments to the franchise.
